Jerzy Baehr – Legal Counsel, Managing Partner
Member of the Board of Associated European Energy Consultants
Co-founder and a managing partner at WKB, heads the energy team.
A graduate of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Jerzy also studied at Oxford, Leiden and Trident. In 1992, he was awarded the doctor of law degree with a dissertation on privatization. A university lecturer at the Chair of Civil and Commercial Law of the Faculty of Law and Administration (Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań) from 1985 to 1999, Jerzy is also a member of the board of Associated European Energy Consultants, an association of European law firms specializing in the energy sector.
An expert in energy law, privatization, M&As, public procurement law and antitrust law. He was often engaged to provide input during parliamentary work on amendments to energy and public procurement legislation and on the nuclear law compact. Jerzy managed Polish Public Procurement Authority’s projects supported from the World Bank’s grants. In addition to sitting on supervisory boards of many companies, he has been relied upon for opinion by the Ownership Transformations Council, a privatization advisory body for the Prime Minister.
He has co-authored acclaimed commentaries on energy law and public procurement law as well as a number of publications on privatization and competition law.
