Berlin, 27–28 March 2025 – The 8th AEEC Transatlantic Energy Conference brought together energy leaders from Europe and the US in Berlin to develop a new transatlantic agenda under the theme ‘A New Beginning’. Key discussions focused on natural gas, hydrogen and the strategic role of US LNG in European energy security.
Highlights included the presentation of a new study on energy markets, keynote speeches by Ambassador Richard Morningstar and Philipp Steinberg (BMWK), and the ceremony for the Richard Morningstar Award, introduced by Dr Friedbert Pflüger and presented by former EU Commissioner Günther Oettinger.
The event concluded with high-level energy talks at the Reichstag, which reinforced the need for closer cooperation amid changing geopolitical dynamics.
